Vinal (Arthur H.) is born in Quincy.

Arthur Vinal comes to Boston in 1874 to work as an apprentice at Peabody & Stearns architectural firm, then starts his own firm, originally Starbuck & Vinal, in 1822. He lives at 35 Melville Avenue. Vinal serves as Boston city architect (1884-88), retires in 1905, and designs a home for himself on Marblehead Neck. He dies in 1924.
